December 7, 2022: 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New York District announced the public release of a Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Tier 1 Environmental Impact Statement for the New York - New Jersey Harbor and Tributaries coastal storm risk management feasibility study (NYNJHAT Study). This study is an investigation into strategies to manage coastal storm risk in the tidally-influenced regions of New York & New Jersey Harbor.  The release of the Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Tier 1 Environmental Impact Statement opens a public comment period.

December 13, 2022 Update
The New York District announces an extension to the public comment period for the New York-New Jersey Harbor and Tributaries Study Draft Integrated Feasibility and Tier 1 Environmental Impact Statement that was released in September 2022.
The public comment period closing date has been extended to March 7, 2023. The previous comment period closing date was January 6, 2023.
