WELCOME TO THE CITY OF PERTH AMBOY'S FIND YOUR HOMETOWN HERO!

The City of Perth Amboy’s Hometown Hero Program is dedicated to recognizing and honoring the men and women who have proudly served our country and continue to make a lasting impact on our community.

Throughout the city, commemorative banners are displayed featuring each service member’s name, branch of service, and photograph. These banners are printed double-sided in full color on durable vinyl material and proudly installed along major corridors including Smith Street, State Street, New Brunswick Avenue, Amboy Avenue, and Hall Avenue.

The program serves as a meaningful tribute to the sacrifice, dedication, and service of our veterans and active-duty military members while giving residents and visitors an opportunity to recognize the individuals behind the banners they see every day.

The 2026 banner installation was proudly sponsored by the Perth Amboy Business Improvement Corporation.
