You recently received a notice from the Perth Amboy Water Department regarding higher levels of Gross Alpha Particle Activity in our water. That notice was mailed to households and posted on the City’s website.

I want to take this moment to speak directly to you and assure you:

• Exploring temporary treatment options and support from neighboring systems.
• Advancing plans for a new, modern water treatment plant.

This new plant is one of the most important investments in our City’s future. It will provide long-term protection for our drinking water, ensure reliable service for our families and businesses, and strengthen our system for decades to come.
