The City will share updates throughout the storm on the City website, Facebook, Instagram, and through City email and text alerts.

- Plan ahead for winter weather beginning overnight into Sunday.
- Complete essential errands early and limit travel when possible.
- Secure loose outdoor items and prepare for possible power interruptions.
- Check on neighbors who may need assistance.
Snow Emergency Streets and Parking
Snow Emergency Streets – ACTIVE
Snow Emergency Streets are ACTIVE. No parking is permitted on designated streets to allow snow plows and emergency vehicles to operate safely.

Enforcement: Vehicles left on Snow Emergency Streets may be ticketed and towed.
Alternate Residential Parking (Municipal Lots)
During snow removal operations on designated Snow Emergency Streets, residents may use the following municipal parking lots and the Downtown Parking Garage for alternate residential parking:

Primary location: Alexander F. Jankowski Community Center, 1 Olive Street
Secondary location: Raritan Bay Area YMCA, 357 New Brunswick Ave (as needed)
Power Outages
Residents should prepare for possible power interruptions, especially during periods of wind and ice.

- Stay away from downed power lines. Always assume fallen wires are live. Report downed power lines immediately by calling 9-1-1.
Business Notice
- Plan for difficult travel conditions and potential delays.
- Secure outdoor items (awnings, signage, outdoor seating) ahead of wind and precipitation.
- Clear sidewalks adjacent to your property when it is safe to do so.
