West Side Area Roadway Improvements

The City of Perth Amboy is moving forward with roadway improvements in the West Side area, including West Side Avenue, Johnstone Street, and Penn Street. This work is part of ongoing efforts to maintain safe and reliable infrastructure for residents.

Work is expected to begin on or about Monday, April 13, 2026, weather permitting.

Project Overview

Locations: West Side Avenue, Johnstone Street, Penn Street
Work includes: Concrete replacement and yard restoration
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

What Residents Should Expect

Vehicles must be removed from work areas during construction hours
Temporary loss of driveway or parking access during active work
Increased construction activity in the area
Please follow all posted traffic and construction signage
