City Hall Phone & Email Service Disruption

The City of Perth Amboy is currently experiencing a Comcast service outage affecting phone and email services at City Hall and several municipal facilities.

City departments remain open and continue to provide essential services while Comcast works to restore service. To help residents continue accessing City services, temporary department contact numbers have been established for departments impacted by the outage.

Public Safety

Police, Fire, and EMS emergency services are not affected. Residents experiencing a police, fire, or medical emergency should continue to call 911.

What the City Is Doing

The City is actively working to minimize service disruptions and maintain access to municipal services by:

  • Coordinating with Comcast to restore affected phone and email services.
  • Monitoring the outage and communicating with Comcast regarding restoration efforts.
  • Coordinating with department directors to maintain continuity of City operations.
  • Providing temporary department contact numbers so residents can continue reaching City staff.
  • Keeping residents informed through the City's website, Nixle alerts, and email communications.
