This holiday season has not been easy for everyone.
Many families in our city, including members of our own city workforce, are mourning the loss of loved ones.
To those who are grieving, we want you to know that you are not forgotten and that our thoughts are with you.
Even in a challenging year, we have seen the care people show one another across our neighborhoods.
I’m grateful to our first responders and city employees who continue to serve with dedication and compassion, often while carrying their own loss.
To the men and women serving in the armed forces who are spending the holidays away from home, we are thankful for your service and are thinking of you and your families.
We also want to thank the residents, volunteers, and community partners who quietly step in to help others. Your kindness matters more than you may realize.
As we close out the year, my focus, together with the City Council, remains on supporting our families, strengthening our neighborhoods, and moving forward with care for one another.
We wish you peace and comfort this holiday season, and strength and comfort in the year ahead.

Esta temporada navideña no ha sido fácil para todos.
Muchas familias en nuestra ciudad, incluidos miembros de nuestro propio personal municipal, están de luto por la pérdida de seres queridos.
A quienes están atravesando un duelo, queremos que sepan que no han sido olvidados y que nuestros pensamientos están con ustedes.
Incluso en un año difícil, hemos visto la solidaridad y el cuidado que las personas se brindan unas a otras en nuestros vecindarios.
Estoy agradecido con nuestros primeros respondedores y empleados de la ciudad, que continúan sirviendo con dedicación y compasión, a menudo mientras enfrentan sus propias pérdidas.
A los hombres y mujeres que sirven en las fuerzas armadas y pasan las fiestas lejos de casa, les agradecemos su servicio y los tenemos presentes a ustedes y a sus familias.
También queremos agradecer a los residentes, voluntarios y socios comunitarios que, de manera discreta, ayudan a los demás. Su bondad tiene más valor del que pueden imaginar.
Al cerrar el año, mi enfoque, junto con el Concejo Municipal, sigue siendo apoyar a nuestras familias, fortalecer nuestros vecindarios y avanzar con cuidado y consideración mutua.
