The City of Perth Amboy celebrates Independence Day, with music, fireworks, historical tours, colonial reenactments, and bell ringing.
The celebration begins on Saturday, July 2nd, on Sadowski Parkway. The Proprietary House will be open at 1 PM and is within walking distance for a visit. The fireworks show is anticipated at 9:20 PM right over the Raritan Bay. Join us on Monday for an Independence reception at the Proprietary House, followed by a procession to City Hall Circle for a colonial cannon firing and performances by American Revolution Colonial Honor Guard performances, New Jersey Fifes & Drums, and reenactors. There will also be readings of the Declaration of Independence followed by the ringing of the Liberty Bell.
