Four quick steps

  1. Talk through key questions with your family: alerts and warnings, shelter, evacuation routes, and how you’ll communicate.
  2. Consider specific needs such as medication, equipment, dietary needs, languages, pets, and school-aged children.
  3. Create your plan using the FEMA form.
  4. Practice the plan and refresh it regularly.
