Perth Amboy’s Adopted CY 2026 Municipal Budget Featured by TAPinto

TAPinto Raritan Bay recently reported on the City of Perth Amboy’s adopted
$102.2 million Calendar Year 2026 Municipal Budget.
The adopted budget maintains essential municipal services while supporting
public safety, infrastructure, parks and recreation, senior and community
services, technology, cybersecurity, and the City’s long-term financial stability.
For the average assessed home, the change in the municipal portion is estimated
at approximately $213 annually, or $17.77 per month. The municipal portion is
only one component of the total property tax bill, which also includes taxes
levied by the school district, Middlesex County, the library, and County Open Space.
The budget also reduces the City’s reliance on one-time surplus revenue while
continuing investments in the services and infrastructure residents rely on.
