Major Redevelopment Planned for DPW Site

Mayor Helmin Caba has announced a transformative redevelopment of the Department of Public Works site on Fayette Street.
- Cleanup of a former landfill
- New 205,000 sq. ft. cold storage facility
- Rebuilding or relocating the animal shelter, traffic operations center, and PBA hall
This project is a public-private partnership with Marmont Perth Amboy LLC, and comes at no cost to taxpayers.
Mayor Caba called it “a big win for Perth Amboy,” bringing fresh revenue and replacing outdated infrastructure.
