The City of Perth Amboy greatly appreciates those who request to utilize public spaces to host their event. Events held in the City of Perth Amboy that require approval include, but are not limited to: parades, walks, runs, assemblies, flag raisings, weddings, ceremonies, campaigns, and other events on City property, whether private or public. Please use this form to request the use of any City-owned public facilities or City grounds. If a road or street closure is needed for the specific event, please also indicate that on the form. This form must be submitted at least 45 days before your event date. Also, all attachments, agendas, or programs should be emailed to [email protected].
Depending on the size of your event, you may have to submit a Public Entertainment Application through the Office of the City Clerk. Please see the 343 Ordinance Number to verify if your event qualifies as public entertainment. You may also call (732) 826-0290
No event will be permitted past 10 PM. Amplified sound/music must be turned off 1 hour before the event ends.

INDEMNIFICATION
The undersigned Applicant agrees to assume any risk of loss or damage of any kind whatsoever to property or injury to or death, including the wrongful death of persons arising from the Applicant's use of any premises during the Special event. The Applicant further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City, its officers, directors, employees, or agents from and against any claims, suits, and demands based upon any of the risks so assumed, whether just or unjust, fraudulent or not, and for all costs and expenses incurred by them in the defense, settlement or satisfaction of any such claims, including attorney's fees and costs of suit. If so directed, the Applicant shall, at no cost or expense to the City, defend against such claims. In this event, the Applicant shall not, without obtaining express permission from the City's Law Director, raise any defense involving the immunity of the City or the provisions of any statutes respecting suits against the City. The Applicant's liability hereunder shall continue after the termination of the Special event concerning any liability, loss, expense, or damage resulting from acts occurring before termination.
SEVERE WEATHER / RESCHEDULING
If severe weather conditions will inevitably postpone the event's start time, or if the entire event must be canceled or moved to another location, the Office of Recreation must be notified in writing at least 24 hours before the event's start time. The Office of Recreation reserves the right to rescind this application at any time for a good cause, especially in the case of a State of Emergency. **Accommodations will be made based on availability**
